I am excited to officially share that The Storystead is now an LLC. This marks a new chapter, one rooted in growth, sustainability, and the long-term vision of making stories more accessible to the people who need them most.
With this new step, The Storystead is expanding operations to include:
- Carefully selected books
- Thoughtful merchandise
- And a new offering called A Story for Your Journey, our take on Blind Date with a Book
A Story for Your Journey is designed as a new adventure. Each book is chosen with care, wrapped with love, and paired with small touches meant to provide warm fuzzies and the best experience. The goal is simple, to help the right story find the right reader at the right time. It is a mystery though. We will provide genre and three bullet points to help you pick the perfect new Journey.
This next step may not seem to align with the vision we have started. We love books. We love providing resources and information to get those books to new people. We also need to sustain the database. Merch and our Story Journeys will help support the website as well as our family. Hopefully for years to come.
While exciting things have been happening behind the scenes, I also want to acknowledge the slower pace recently. I am currently in my final semester of my Master’s of Science in Information Science, with graduation on May 15th. This season has required balancing coursework, research, and building The Storystead’s next chapter all at once.
Thank you for your patience during this time. Your support makes this work possible, and I am incredibly grateful to be building something meaningful alongside this community.
After graduation, I am looking forward to returning to a more consistent rhythm, expanding resources, and continuing to grow The Storystead in thoughtful and sustainable ways.
This next chapter is just beginning.
